1996

Gerrit Holz started constructing biogas plants.


Team

2000

Gerrit Holz established Biogas Nord GmbH, which first build biogas plants throughout the north of Germany and then expanded to the rest of Germany and to other parts of the world, especially the Netherlands and the USA.

2006

The company went public through the listing of its holding company Biogas Nord AG, on the entry level of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. New subsidiaries were established in the UK, Italy, Spain, France and the USA.

2007

The capitalized value of the company reached 67 Million Euro.


Initial public offering 2006-12-14

2008

The number of the company‘s employees increased from 20 in 2002 to more than 180 at the middle of 2008.

2009

EBP became the major shareholder in the company after purchasing 44,3 % of the shares in the company from Gerrit Holz.


2010

  • A capital increase of Euro 1.3 Million was made through the issue of convertible bonds, 99% of  which were exercised.
  • Friedrich-W Schwenker became COO.
  • Subsidiaries were established in Poland and  South Korea.
  • Biogas Nord Power AG is established.
